Apsley Football Club Welfare and Complaints Procedure

Apsley Football Club treat the welfare of your child with the upmost importance.  As a club, our commitment is to nurture an environment where your children can relish their football experience while evolving as both players and individuals.  However, there may arise instances when you wish to inquire about our approach or share feedback on a particular topic or issue.

We have outlined the process below:

  1. For questions or matters related to football, such as playing time, position, training activities, etc., please direct these initially to your Team Manager.
  2. If you believe that the football-related matter has not been adequately addressed by the Team Manager, kindly discuss it with our Head of Football at football@apsleyfc.org.
  3. For further concerns, please contact the Club Secretary at secretary@apsleyfc.org.

Apsley Football Club – Welfare

Please direct all child welfare matters to our Youth Welfare Officer, Laurence Fitzgerald at welfare@apsleyfc.org. Examples include racial or homophobic slurs, inappropriate language or behaviour directed at a player, match official, coach, spectator, concerns regarding the mental health or social well-being of a child in the club, or inappropriate physical approaches towards a child.  As a club, we wholeheartedly support the FA’s RESPECT campaign and have a zero-tolerance policy for such situations.  Rest assured, we will investigate these welfare matters with confidentiality and involve relevant organisations such as other clubs, leagues, and the FA.  Appropriate actions, including the removal of any members or volunteers, will be taken if warranted.

If you provide feedback or have questions, please remember that the club is managed by volunteers who are doing their best to create a positive and secure experience for your children.  We do not tolerate rude or abusive approaches during this process.
